Katty Mächler makes an exploratory visit. The SONNE FÜR DICH team is put together in La Playa.
Beginning of March 2006
The active members of the SONNE FÜR DICH Team in Hamburg, Germany meet for the first time. The SONNE FÜR DICH initiative is accepted by the Deutsch-Kolumbianischer Freundeskreis e.V. (German-Colombian Circle of Friendship).
March 14, 2006
Our food program at the school, San Vicente de Paul in Barranquilla gets off to a successful start. All the children receive breakfast everyday!
Beginning of June 2006
An enclosed sports field is built at the school.
August 2006
Our partnership with the Windmühlenweg Daycare Center for children in Hamburg begins.
Beginning of October 2006
Inauguration of the new enclosed sports field at San Vicente de Paul with a “Sports Day” event. Soccer balls, basketballs, volleyballs and other sports equipment is donated for gym classes.
End of October 2006
A playground is built at the school.
December 2006
A Colombian bazaar is held at the Windmühlenweg Daycare Center for children in Hamburg. Proud parents, cultural exchange, and donations come together.
February 2007
SONNE FÜR DICH is now the officially registered association, SONNE FÜR DICH e.V.
Jan Finck and Josefine Hanke, two of our active members, visit San Vicente de Paul in La Playa at their own expense. They make a video of their trip and take photographs to document the experience.
September 2007
SONNE FÜR DICH e.V. collects donations at their stand at the “Bernstorfstraßenfest” and “Schanzenfest” street fairs in Hamburg.
October 2007
Taka take ta e.V. and SONNE FÜR DICH e.V. put together the legendary “El Baile” party in the Roten Flora in Hamburg. It is a great success and brings in a considerable amount of donations.
February 2008
Active member Erwin Smit visits the school in La Playa at his own expense.
April 2008
Taka taka ta e.V. and SONNE FÜR DICH put together the “El Baile” party in the Roten Flora in Hamburg once again, which is another great success.
July 2008
The Spanish-German magazine ECOS publishes a one-page article about SONNE FÜR DICH e.V.
September 2008
SONNE FÜR DICH e.V. takes part in the Karneval der Kulturen (carnival of cultures) in Hamburg and collects donations at its own stand.
November 2008
SONNE FÜR DICH e.V. has its first general meeting in Hamburg.
December 2008
SONNE FÜR DICH e.V. donates money to the “Plant for the Planet” reforestation project in Colombia.
February 2009
Shakira opens a school in La Playa to take in all the children who live there. Two of our active members, Jan Finck and Josefine Hanke, visit the school in La Playa at their expense to talk about the actual situation.
March 2009
SONNE FÜR DICH e.V. donates money to “Un Techo para mi País” to build four new houses.
Christian Körting, Chairman of SONNE FÜR DICH e.V. travels to Colombia at his own expense for the construction project.
