When a child has to decide between school and work, it misses out on its childhood…and its future is also uncertain…

SONNE FÜR DICH e.V. was founded in January 2006 as an initiative to make it possible for people in Latin America to have a better future, especially children. Our approach is to help people help themselves. That means that we help people take their lives into their own hands to create a better, more dignified future through their own efforts.

School is the most important requirement for children to have a better life. That is why our main focus is on the San Vicente de Paul School, based in the slum of La Playa near the coastal city of Barranquilla, Colombia.

By providing breakfast for the children, as well as other activities, we make sure that they continue attending school, instead of going to work or begging on the streets.

Our fundraising, sustainability, educational and development programs are coordinated from our offices in Hamburg.
